My first hobo handbag was made of canvas many years ago and I carried EVERYTHING in it, to the point that I think I have the pain in my shoulder still from lugging that purse around. The hobo shoulder bag I have today is much smaller and more fashionable.
The thought of clowns still fill my head when I say Hobo out loud. I did own one of these oversized hobo handbags when I was in my teens and although very popular bags, I have only bought one and did not think that I would ever own another one until now that is. I am finding that this shape with the top opening is for me the best style.

If you are looking for a designer hobo bag, there is the large leather handbag or the coach hobo bag and the canvas bag, but when you get a look at the Fendi bag, wow. I have to say it make me rethink my clown image when I think of carrying one of these purses.
I went was online and found the prada hobo bag that I would love to call my own. It is a large crescent moon shape and you can see the style in this black jacquard bag with black trim. I’m sure you could find a knock off and perhaps for a third of the cost you could walk around with your very own leather handbag. But the quality wont be there and you will probably pay a high price for it.
